At the Bangor Humane Society, we employ approximately fifteen staff members, most of whom are Adoption Counselors or Animal Care Technicians. We have a very small number of administrative and management positions. While previous experience with animal handling is preferred, new employees and volunteers are trained extensively on-site.
Volunteering is also an excellent way to find out whether a career working with animals is right for you and get a foot in the door.
