Bangor Humane Society Wish List

Donations are gratefully received during our normal business hours.

Please note: your generous donation will go even further if you give us gift certificates or cash because we can purchase at local retailers tax-free through our non-profit status.

We are in need of enrichment supplies to sustain our enrichment program for the animals housed here at the shelter.

Large Plastic Covered Litter Boxes (must be new) for cats & kittens in Foster Care
Non-clumping, clay cat litter
Dog Collars- Lupine are best due to their chew-safe guarantee.
Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR)
Wet dog and cat food
Rawhide chews for the dogs
Dog and cat toys to keep our pets happy and busy during their stay (chewies such as nylabones, tire-biters and Kongs are best for dogs; we are better able to reuse hard, plastic toys for our cats!)
Dog and cats treats (soft)
Small animal food (rabbit, hamster, rat, etc.)
Dog crates (we especially need large crates)
Washable Blankets
Towels
Crocheted and knitted cat blankets
Large Metal Colanders (for use as cat beds)

Cleaning supplies: (New, unopened containers only, please.)
Vacuum (Hepa Filter)
Paper towels
Clorox Ultra unscented
Sturdy rubber gloves
Large black trash bags (heavy duty)
Glad Force Flex kitchen bags

Enrichment Supplies:
Fleece fabric (at least one yard)
Upholstery fabric (at least one yard)

Kong filling: peanut butter, baby food, honey, canned cheese, liver treatsSpices (rosemary, sage, thyme, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, catnip)

Pet Grooming equipment:
Scissors
Pet brushes and combs
Electric pet hair dryer

Outdoor supplies:
Chain link fencing (not chicken wire) and installation for outdoor play areas for the dogs
Building materials and lumber
Loam
Perennials
Pea gravel for walkways
Yak-Trax for staff walking dogs in our chilly and slippery winters!

Office supplies:
Sharpies (black, fine-tip colored)
Stamps
Sheet protectors
Laminating sheets
Post-It notes
